BIRD stands for Basics of Inter Religious Dialogue. The Basics of Inter-Religious Dialogue Course has for its objective to introduce the participants into an understanding of the core beliefs and practices of the main religions in India. The faculty comprises people belonging to different religions, and the participants are given an opportunity to visit the temples of various religions. The course educates the participants about the scriptures of Buddhism & Jainism, Hinduism, Sikhism and Islam and helps them to understand different faiths. It recognises that public life and spirituality should go hand in hand. A theological component helps the participants to assimilate the theology of inter-religious dialogue.
